Overview
Friends of the Boundary Waters is an organization that works to protect, preserve and restore the wilderness character of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Northeastern Minnesota. I helped lead a small team of designers in working with this passionate non-profit team to reimagine their brand and create a scalable design toolkit that would allow them to easily and continuously maintain and build upon their presence in the community. Our main focus was to create a fresh new visual identity that captures the beauty, solemnity, and historical significance of this precious ecosystem.
Project goals:
• Create a modern visual identity system that can grow and evolve with the organization
• Consult on potential new methods of reaching key audiences
• Document and deliver brand guidelines
